Afrique d'Or: EZRA AW 2011

There is a certain classicism that we see in EZRA's Haute creations. So creatively simple, yet SO exquisitely elegant. 

The EZRA woman is a woman of CLASS, SOPHISTICATION, and CHIC. EZRA brings

out an infusion of 40's Glamor  where he gets inspiration from Hollywood Golden Girls like Greta Garbo and Marlene Dietrich yet he manages to interpret it with a twist of modernity and Function.  An avid fan of Art Deco Master Erte, you cannot help but notice a subtle incorporation of bold linear and geometric shapes accented to his bejeweled gowns. 

IKON is fortunate to collaborate with this Talented Designer for his Autumn/Winter 2011 Campaign. EZRA concocted this amazing Collection with WHITE as the main Color of choice, a Color of Royalty. Because it is in Every EZRA Dress that every woman feels like a princess. and this time she is an AFRICAN Princess hailing from the Nubian tribes of the Middle Ages. But it just does not stop there, though exoticism was the inspiration, the 

Arabic and Filipino influences where also a part of the repertoire. Jersey Dresses with  Butterfly Sleeves, Weaved bodices with Tull Skirts trimmed with Lazer-Cutted detailing, Bustier ball gowns intricately adorned with Swarovsky crystals.  

Lensed by Brilliant Visionaire Lebanese-Egyptian Photographer, Toufic Araman, we have come up with a dreamy, ethereal approach to embody this magnificent collection. 
Set in an old swampy garden of an abandoned Mansion recreated by amazing stylists Warren Vender and Michael del Mar. This provided the backdrop of the vintage feel that EZRA wanted his posh clientele to feel, and Viola! All the elements of An Amazing Campaign fall into place.  Great styling, Great Photography, GREAT DESIGNER- EZRA.
